In the heart of the Hautes-Alpes, on the Franco-Italian border, this valley of 20,000
hectares of pure nature, where two pretty towns nestle, Val-des-Prés and
Névache, offers authenticity and wide open spaces for your outdoor activities.
Located at the entrance to the Clarée valley, Val-des-Prés is made up of five hamlets
: La Vachette, Le Rosier and Val-des-Prés (Le Serre, Le Pra Premier, La Draye), which
constitutes the chef -town. The town is between 1351 m high, near Briançon, and 2773
Lauzin peak which dominates the Dormillouse mountain pasture.

Bikers are going to fall in love with The Clarée valley with 60 km round trip
and 600 m difference in altitude between Briançon and Laval or towards Italy via the Col de l’Échelle.
By mountain bike or electrically assisted bicycle (VAE), the Clarée valley offers many marked routes, ranging from the green route which runs along the entire Vachette river to Névache, ideal for families, to the black route which will take you to the Barns of the Narrow Valley.
